Many NGOs are offering gifts for your donations; with many interesting items, it's not boring or uninspiring. Shop at an NGO and make a difference.

Support a cause this season by buying gifts from non-profit organizations. NGOs offer gifts for all ages; from toys to apparels to everyday knickknacks, there are interesting items to buy. There is always donation to show your support, but this way the gifts are not compensated; not to mention the whole family's support and involvement. Here's a list of NGOs offering gifts for this season.

World Wildlife Fund - WIth its global presence and more than five million supporters, World Wildlife Fund is the world's largest NGO. The range of gifts from WWF include apparels, jewelry, soft toys, bags and everyday items. The symbolic adoption of an endangered species will give you a gift certificate, a species spotlight card and a plush version of the animal. This is a unique gift for the kids through which they learn important values and learn about the endangered animal. There is an exotic variety of animals to choose from. For an exclusive gift, try one of the Tub of Cubs, Pail of Primates or Birdhouses. The special for the season is the limited-edition glass panda collectible, marking WWF's 50th anniversary.

GreenPeace International - Started in 1971, GreenPeace aims at a green and peaceful future. Greenpeace works on a lot of issues including global warming, nuclear weapons, overfishing and pollution. Apparel, holiday ornaments, bags, mugs and bottles can be found at the GreenPeace Shop. The apparel is available for all: men, women, kids and babies.

Rainforest Alliance - The Rainforest Alliance is working toward a sustainable livelihood by transforming business practices and consumer mind-set. The Rainforest Alliance Certified Seal identifies products from responsible and sustainable practices. Choose beverages and groceries with the little frog seal for this season. Alternatively, use one of its certified hotels for your travels.

Wildlife Conservation Society - Founded in New York in the late 19th century, WCS works on 500 projects in more than 60 countries. It strives to protect wildlife and wild places worldwide to ensure the integrity of life on Earth. WCS does not offer any gifts but there are membership options which gain free access to five wildlife parks in New York.

EarthShare - An American NGO working on the environmental issues. Their aim is to engage individuals and organizations for creating a sustainable environment. In EarthShare's Green Marketplace, one can find green bags and organic bouquets.

It only takes a small step to make your holidays ethical. Your contribution to these organizations help saving endangered species and implementing green practices. Buy gifts and products from an NGO and spread the joy.
